Overview
The International Medical Services (IMS) at Beijing Children’s Hospital provides dedicated pediatric care for both domestic and international patients in an internationally oriented clinical environment.
Drawing on the strengths of the National Center for Children’s Health and Beijing Children’s Hospital, IMS serves as a dedicated international medical service platform, bringing together leading pediatric expertise and high-quality clinical resources. Located in the hospital’s Comprehensive Building and managed as a dedicated clinical area, it offers a full range of supporting services, including specialty consultation rooms (such as otolaryngology and dentistry), diagnostic facilities (including ultrasound and imaging), waiting areas, pharmacy consultation, and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) consultation.
IMS follows a coordinated model of care in collaboration with specialty departments across the hospital, delivering an integrated service system that combines specialist-led care, health maintenance, and chronic disease management for patients across multiple disciplines. It is committed to providing high-quality, professional, and internationally oriented pediatric medical services, with continuity of care across the full course of health management.
With its dedicated facilities, supporting services, and coordinated clinical pathways, IMS is designed to reflect a leading standard among international medical services offered by public Grade 3A pediatric hospitals in China.
IMS is also expanding its service scope to include areas such as medical aesthetics, health check-up services, and remote international consultation.

Clinical Services
Specialist Outpatient Services
IMS offers outpatient services across more than 20 pediatric specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, otolaryngology (ENT), dentistry, dermatology, mental health, psychosomatic medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and comprehensive care. Consultations are provided by senior specialists at the Associate Chief Physician level and above. For patients with complex or difficult conditions, MDT consultation services are available, providing coordinated, child-centered care across specialties.
Inpatient Services
The IMS inpatient ward provides a family-centered parent–child accommodation model and serves as an integrated ward combining the strengths of Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Supported by experienced physicians with multidisciplinary backgrounds and a professional nursing team, the ward offers efficient access to diagnosis and treatment, attentive family-oriented nursing care, and a comfortable inpatient environment for children and their families. Breastfeeding support is encouraged where appropriate.
Insurance Services
IMS has established agreements with multiple insurance providers and offers direct billing services for both outpatient and inpatient care.
